In case you’ve been wondering what I’ve been up to, last month I started contributing to Serious Eats: Drinks.
So far I’ve put up three posts:
- Cocktail Science: 5 Myths About Ice, Debunked
- Cocktail Science: 8 Tips and Tricks for Getting the Most Out of Citrus
- Cocktail Science: All About Cocktail Foams
For those of you who don’t know, Serious Eats is one of the most influential and fastest growing food blogs online right now, driven in no small part by “Chief Creative Officer” J. Kenji López-Alt’s obsessive devotion to using science to improve everyday recipes. His work has inspired much of my own writing and it’s been awesome to work with him.
While I will still post here from time to time and will respond to every comment and email I receive, please make an account over at Serious Eats and post your comments to the robust community over there. I promise you it will be worth it
I’ve also continued with working on basic food and science research over at ScienceFare, where this month I talk about the science of salt and “flavor enhancement.”
Consider that some foreshadowing of more experiments to come…
